I have a huge, close to 25 lb. 6 mo. old and he fit perfectly in this toddler size travel vest. I was impressed with the quality. It was super soft and not stiff at all. It was the best vest of all the ones I had researched and a great value.

We used this on our 1 year old for 3 flights, & never did a flight attendant have an issue with the harness. I guess it depends on who you fly with... My son, like many babies/toddlers, was quite wiggly, but I decided to keep his safety in mind, & I either fed my seatbelt through the harness on the back, or through the strap that goes between his legs when he's facing towards me. My son was very comfortable, and the harness never bothered him. He did fall asleep on us for two of the flights, & I simply fed my seatbelt through the front strap for the vest. I felt much safer having him strapped to me. While airplane crashes & severe turbulance is rare, it does happen. I didn't want to my child to be found on the other side of the plane if, God forbid, something happened.

I understand the purpose behind it, but it isn't FAA approved, so we couldn't use it for take off and lading. During the flight, the baby wanted to sleep on my chest, so the device just didn't work for us.

I was so happy when I saw this on line. The airline let me use it during the flight to our destination. On the return trip home, a flight attendant approached me and asked how my daughter was attached to me. I showed him and he said absolutely not, infants cannot be attached in any way. When I told him there was no issue with the original flight we took, he told me that he noticed it and they probably didn't. So, check with the airline first. The concept is great and definitely gives you peace of mind, but if the airline won't let you use it there is no point in getting it.

I wish I would have saved my money. I put the harness on my son at the airpoirt before our flight. It fit him around the chest but it was to short to clasp between his legs. When we got on the plane I attached my seatbelt thru the harness.....That lasted about 2 minutes. He's one and a half years old. He's not gonna sit still. He wanted to turn around and face me and that is impossible with the way the harness is made. I am sure it's a great item and would keep your child safe if you were flying thru a hurricane and had crazy turbulance,,, but how often does that happen. I used the harness about 2 minutes.. I didn't even put it back on him for our other flights. Should have saved my money... It just wasn't necessary.

First I read all the reviews and saw a few people mentioned that some airlines wouldn't allow them to use it. So I Looked into that. There is a tag printed right on the vest that tells the airlines that it is allowed to be used. Also The vest comes with an address that if you do have any issues you can contact them and they will refund your money. So really for me it was well worth taking the chance the airline may tell me no. I felt so much better having it and the airline I was on had no issues. Wonderful product!

Even though we buy seats for our son when we travel, I brought this along in the event he got fussy and wanted out of his car seat, which he did! I was very comforted knowing that even though he wasn't in his car seat, he was still attached to me in the event we hit major turbulence. I put the vest on him before we went on the plane so he wore it when he was in his car seat.

I used the Baby B'air with my almost 17 month old daughter. Usually she is quite wiggly and constantly wants to get up & down when she is on your lap but with the Baby B'air she sat well for the 2 1/2 flight only becoming annoyed once or twice. I kept giving her toys, snacks, water, milk, etc and we even played games on my iPhone to keep her busy. If you are traveling with a little one and don't purchase them a seat I would recommend the Baby B'air to help make mommy and baby feel safe and secure!

Clearly, this seems like a great idea. Safety is extremely important to me. So, I was thrilled to find these for my 20-month-old twins during our summer travel. I was devastated when the flight attendant told us these were NOT ALLOWED! What a waste and I was so nervous the whole flight.

I just flew from Boston to L.A. I was really concerned about flying 6 hours with my 8 month old, who is super active. The vest was very soft and comfortable; he slept a majority of the flight wearing it. When he was awake, he was still able to move around and climb on mommy so he could see others on the plane, and I was comforted that he couldn't fall off of my lap.

The Baby B'Air seems like a great idea, but it didn't work at all for me. My 17-month-old daughter was just too active and would struggle and twist around in my lap when she wanted to get down. It became immediately apparent that the Baby B'Air isn't made for that and it actually seemed dangerous to have her in it when she started struggling. The harness is attached to your lap belt by a loop of fabric that is long enough to allow some movement. This might be nice when holding a baby, but it allowed my daughter to almost turn around and face me, which frustrated her and caused her to struggle harder. I was afraid she'd hurt herself getting tangled up or bumping her head on something. I would not recommend the Baby B'Air for use with an active toddler. However, I can see how it would provide peace of mind when holding a baby. It would prevent a baby from falling onto the floor if the parent were to fall asleep or loose their grip due to turbulence.

i got this for my first long flight with my son since it was 11hrs flight and i knew i would be holding him a lot and possibly fall asleep, or it gets little rough out there going against the wind flying to japan often. i had my son wore the vest the whole time and he was hooked to my seat belt when he was on my lap and it was great!
and i brought it again last new years when i flew with him again(he was 20months old and the vest was on biggest setting,but he is on taller side. this time i used Singapore airline to fly to japan and they actually had their own safety belt for lap child that hooks to your seat belt and they wanted you to use their safety device. and so i didn't even need to take the vest this time and so i will check with the airline before purchasing but other than that its a great product!

Use the vest for first time with twin boys (1 y/o). Traveling with any infants is difficult, but using the vests allowed more freedom for my hands. My husband had one son and I had the other. When they tried to crawl away, the tether kept them close. I felt safer knowing that they would not fall off our laps. The were able to sleep with the vests one comfortably.

We have infant twins. We purchased two harnesses for the boys first airline trip. We were told the harnesses are not FAA approved and we couldn't use them. Superb idea. They fit great. Would have used them!
