Anti-Tip Furniture Anchor Strap

Item #: 21811

About 15,000 kids are injured by falling furniture each year, according to one recent study. The heavier the furniture, the more serious the threat, and that's where this heavy-duty furniture strap comes in. So sturdy, it's used in earthquake zones! The braided steel cable is much stronger than traditional plastic furniture brackets, so it secures substantial pieces like dressers, bookcases, and entertainment centers (exactly the type of pieces that kids are tempted to climb). It anchors to a stud in the wall, so furniture can't tip or fall. The cable detaches from the hardware for easy room cleaning.

Comments about Tee-Zed Anti-tip Furniture Anchor Strap:

We have a very heavy maple 2 piece china hutch in the living room. Per instructions, we needed to attach the base to the hutch. This took the most time since my husband went to the hardware store to get 2 metal flat strips with predrilled holes to attach the china base to the hutch; since the hutch back wasn't solid wood, we had to test the solid frame for the best location to connect the top to the bottom. Then we needed to do the same to attach the strap anchor to the hutch and line it up to the stud. Once we had the strap hinges in place, moving the furniture back to the wall and connecting the cable from the wall to the furniture was a piece of cake. Installation took a lot of time because of our learning curve and the difficulty of moving the heavy furniture, but worth every minute of it for the peace of mind--this furniture isn't moving anywhere!!
