The kids and I love this train set, now, but we had to make the decision to permanantly screw and glue the pieces to a board that sits on our train table. The tracks just rest on towers, so the slightest bump from the kids and the whole thing comes tumbling down. The kids and we were so frustrated. My handy hubby screwed tracks in place, and used wood glue on tower/track connections, to permanently afix all the tracks and towers so it is now very fun. But it was a lot of extra work. Also, when unlinking tracks, my kids have managed to break off the round tips on 2 curve tracks. My kids are just normal and not all that strong, so the wood used has weaknesses that make it fragile. Again, not an issue once track was permanently put together. Just be careful handling the pieces if you haven't.

Ordered this for my daughter for xmas, she loved it at first-it was easy to put together- but every time she bumped into it or moved the table it all fell apart. We then had to reinforce everything-pieces broke after the first week-when she tried herself to take it apart-a piece broke when she stepped on it-also got her hand stuck in the tunnel track and that eventually broke.She is not a big girl it is just 'flimsy' We have had to buy replacement parts elsewhere. I probably would not recommend this to a friend-not really built for a small child.

Good quality, but needs extra plastic tape and supports for the track pieces not to come apart when inevitably bumped by a child. It took a couple of hours to put together, but worth it. I have to say: our son loves it a lot!

Playing GENTLY with this trainset made pieces of track come apart. Poorly designed so that track connections rest on really small stands, and the track connections are not tight enough, so it falls apart very easily. Also, the trains tended to catch on the track and not go smoothly over it. For us, the ferris wheel was also broken. It was big disappointment and I was at[...]on Dec. 26 picking out a different set by a different maker.

Very cute and a nice change to the train sets you always see! I wish the pieces fit together better. We may glue them together so that our daughter doesn't get frustrated with them collapsing or having the 'roller coaster car' get stuck on the tracks.

I bought this set for my 3 1/2 yr old and a month later I had to call the manufacturer for 4 replacement tracks because the connector area cracked on or broke off of each one. 4 months later, 3 more pieces have broken. I called today to find out that I have passed the 90 day warranty period. I wouldn't recommend this set because the raised tracks don't stay together well and only leads to a frustrated child (you might want to consider a set that is flat) and 2) pieces are too low quality (i.e. a ferris wheel seat has broken, 6 wooden tracks cracked and the plastic tunnel has split in half, even the mat won't completely flatten out). On the flip side, if you really like this set then you should know that the idea is great and it comes with a lot of other pieces (cars, people, trees, benches, signs, kiosks) and so it is a fun set - very different from the traditional train set). You might try gluing the set together, using tacky gum or nailing pieces together. Good luck.

Nice looking set but needs better quality materials. Pieces come apart easily. Wouldn't buy again. There are better quality train sets out there.

This is a colorful and easy to build set. The kids love playing with it, but it has some assembly that could be difficult without a small phillips head screwdriver.

Sadly, the set was missing some required screws, and the play mat that goes under the whole thing. We are contacting manufacturer to see if we can get replacements.

Overall a fun toy that our smaller children enjoy, but not exactly open and play. I would recommend only to parents with a little patience with missing parts.

The product is attractive, with many nice pieces, my 3 year old loved it. But the tracks fall apart easily which is maddening since you are continually fixing them. I am going to screw and glue them together so she can play unaided.
