Thank you for your interest in One Step Ahead!

At One Step Ahead, we've been making life easier, safer and more fun—for parents and kids for more than 20 years.

Our mission is to save parents time, money, and frustration by bringing you the best of the vast children's market. We do the "pre-shopping" for you, researching, comparing, and testing thousands of products so we can select only the top performers. Remember, we're parents, too, and very picky parents to boot!

We're the opposite of big box stores and websites that tout their huge selection, but leave it up to parents to sort through it all. By narrowing the field, providing superior alternatives, and offering detailed product information, we eliminate the guesswork, so you can make better buying decisions. It's like having your own personal shopper.

Speaking of personal, we pride ourselves on our friendly, knowledgeable customer service. You'll enjoy dealing with our customer service team members, we promise! And if an item doesn't work out for any reason it's no problem. Just return it to us and we'll gladly refund your purchase price.

Our company was founded in 1989 by two parents, Karen and Ian Scott, who wanted the best products for their own kids—and a smarter, easier way to find them. Since then times may have changed, but our guiding principle remains unchanged.

In 2013, One Step Ahead joined the Colony Brands, Inc. group of retailers. Colony Brands, Inc. is a family-owned company that's been in business since 1926. That makes them one of the oldest and most trusted direct marketing companies in the United States and the perfect fit for a family-oriented company like One Step Ahead.

What does this mean for you?
It means that Colony Brands, Inc. will provide a solid foundation for One Step Ahead and, in turn, One Step Ahead will continue to provide you with even more of the ingenious baby, toddler and kids' products you love. We are proud to be a member of the Colony Brands, Inc. family and a trusted resource for parents, and we'll continue working hard to keep your trust.
