Summer Infant, Inc. Warns About Strangulation Hazard & Will Provide New Product Labels and Instructions for Baby Monitors with Electrical Cords
After reported deaths this Action is to warn of a Strangulation Hazard of placing electric cords on baby monitors too close to cribs. A baby monitor camera with cord should NEVER be placed within three feet of a crib or baby's reach.
The Company received reports of two strangulations from monitor cords. CPSC has received reports of five strangulations on other brands of baby monitor cords.
