AblePlay is the latest initiative from the nonprofit National Lekotek Center, division of the nonprofit Anixter Center, and the leading authority on toys and play for children with disabilities

In November 2005, the National Lekotek Center launched AblePlay™, a toy rating system providing independent, authoritative ratings and detailed reviews on toys and other play products for children with special needs. AblePlay's unique evaluation process provides developmental skills and play ideas organized by disability categories.

AblePlay has reviewed some of the newest off-the-shelf toys offered at One Step Ahead and related them to children with physical, sensory, communicative and cognitive disabilities.
