I was warned by other reviews about the smell so it is good to know in advance. I just hung it up for a week before installing it and it's been fine. We have an older 1950s tub and we could use a few more inches in length on the matt but this is the longest I've seen so we're happy to have this length.

I read other reviews that commented on a strong odor. We did NOT have this problem. We laid it flat for 24 hours then started using it the next day. There is no odor from the mat at all. The mat is the perfect size for the tub and it is a great non slip surface for my 20 month old son. I remove it after my son's bath, shake off the excess water and lay it on a towel to dry. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would purchase it again in the future!

I read prior reviews noting that there was a smell to the mat, but also read that soaking it in a solution of white vinegar and water would help...and it did! I bought this mat for my very active 16 month old, but was worried my 5 1/2 year old wouldn't like it...she says it's comfortable and meanwhile keeps her active little brother safe (always trying to stand up in the tub).

My kids are wild in the tub and I feel this mat helps keep them a little safer from slipping. Our tub is standard size and it fits perfectly to cover just about the entire bottom.

The only thing about this product (and it's only slightly annoying) is that the entire bottom of the mat is covered with suction cups so you spend a bit of time at the beginning of every bath pushing down suction cups. Other than that, it filled my needs.

Purchased this for my 10 month old to use in our regular bathtub (no more infant tub!) and was really happy with it. The thing I love about it is the holes throughout so the water drains and the mat doesn't float up in the tub. I have a different brand for my 2 1/2 year old that has a bit of a cushion feel to it and I wish this one was softer to sit on. That's really my only complaint. Sticks really well to the bottom of the tub, both the newer jet tub and the older claw foot tub.

When I opened this product it had an awful plastic smell. Tried soaking it in the tub as reccomended before first use and that did not help. Now I will try to throw it in the wash to see if that takes the smell away. If not, I may have to return it.

It is not much longer than the original mats and a little rough around some of the hole areas.

Our bath tub was re-finished and the bottom was starting to come up. I have tried other bath mats but none fit right or stayed on. This bath mat firs the entire bottom of the tub (minus the drain) and stays on. Now my kids can take a bath without sliding all over the place. great product.

This bath is very big and allows both of my kids to take a bath at the same time. The material is rubber like so it does not get the stains like the foam mats.

This is great in the bath tub and will help bathe two children at a time as there is no worry of one slipping or falling.
It is easy to clean, promotes safety and looks nice it the tub.

The mat smells very bad of plastic. I washed it in the machine and the machine tore a hole in it. It's a very pliable plastic more like a rubber almost. After washing it still stunk up the bathroom. Very soft under the feet however and its very large. Description states it won't mildew which is awesome if you can get past the plastic smell.

I love this mat, and so do my 3 and 1 year olds. It grips the tub well, and doesn't move. Tried a cheaper one from [@] and it fell apart. This was well worth the money.
