This product is great for my two year old grandson who is quite active in the bathtub. He can stand up and i don' have to worry about him slipping. Would highly recommend this to fellow grandparents and parents.

Our son loves bath time and this mat is sturdy yet soft for him to sit on.

It doesn't develop mold like one we bought from another store (it gave our son a rash all the time)

It's long so more than one kid can be in the tub at the same time (useful for us because we have twins) as well!

This bath mat works fine if you have a non-textured tub. I didn't read that part when ordering, so mine only auctions to the bottom edge of mine. The suction is good though, I'd recommend to anyone with a smooth tub surface.

This really is a terrific product, and I searched and searched for a good bath mat. It actually fits the length of our tub, which most mats do not. I read some reviews about a strong smell and was concerned. Though there was a slight odor (to be expected with any bath mat), it was not strong and went away in a day or two. I didn't even have to do the recommended soaking with baking soda and water. The thing I love most is that the suction cups are activated from the top of the mat. So, when you apply any pressure on the top, the suction on the bottom increases. (I know you're thinking, "duh - all bath mats do that." Though I can't describe this well, it just works better than other mats.) Just extra peace of mind with my wiggly little one. Highly recommend - best bath mat I found, and it's made bath time so much more fun!

My husband and I love this bath mat and so does my son! It's amazingly comfortable and it covers the whole tub. I live in denver so I have to use alot of baby oil and lotion on my son, and this helps so much whit him slipping around. My son is very hyper and likes to move back and froward in the tub. It sticks to the stub just fine I haven't had any issues so far with anything and I have owned this bath mat for 4 months now

i have a textured bath tub and this would not stick at all. i am sending it back. it also has a strong rubber smell when you open it, i layed it in my tub for a week and the smell still did not go away. if you have a smooth tub then this will probably work for you, it is very large - covers the entire bottom of the tub - which is great - so sad it did not work on my tub!!!

I love the size of this bath mat and the fact that it does not shift. This is the second one I've bought, the first one I bought almost 3 years ago and I only replaced it because it got stained from the bath tablets that turn the water colors and it looked dirty all the time. I have not machine washed it, I scrub it by hand. My only complaint is that it has a very strong chemical odor that took almost a month to go away, even using it for multiple daily baths.

We love this mat. We had this mat for 4 years and finally decided to get a new one. It's the perfect length. The one thing about this mat that isn't so great is the smell it has when it comes out of the box. It has a VERY distinct smell. It has disipated some over time, but after a month still remains pretty strong. I'm sure it will eventuallygo away. Otherwise, great tub mat.

I was very hopeful this mat would be all it said it was... and the only thing it is is very thick and sturdy, yet its too long for my tub, has a TERRIBLE smell, like chemicals and will not suction to my tub despite many tries. I am sure there are better ones out there for the money... sorry. But I do LOVE one step ahead and trust 90% of their products.

I got bath at for our 14 month old grandson, he was getting too big for bath rings. It is rolled up n the package, it Troyes to stay rolled up which makes it difficult to use. It was also difficult to get it to "suck"onto the bottom of the tub. It's been about 2 weeks now and it it finally starting to unroll enough and stick to the bottom. Does not stick well, our grandson tries to pull it while bathing. Over all I do believe it was a good purchase as long as it keeps my grandson safe from a slippery bathtub.

We bought one of these bath mats to replace one we had gotten 4 years ago. The old was was great; this new one is not good. It doesn't have any suction to hold it in place, even though the bottom is covered with suction cups. We returned it for another, thinking we'd gotten a dud, but the second one is lousy too.

I was warned by other reviews about the smell so it is good to know in advance. I just hung it up for a week before installing it and it's been fine. We have an older 1950s tub and we could use a few more inches in length on the matt but this is the longest I've seen so we're happy to have this length.

I read other reviews that commented on a strong odor. We did NOT have this problem. We laid it flat for 24 hours then started using it the next day. There is no odor from the mat at all. The mat is the perfect size for the tub and it is a great non slip surface for my 20 month old son. I remove it after my son's bath, shake off the excess water and lay it on a towel to dry. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would purchase it again in the future!

I read prior reviews noting that there was a smell to the mat, but also read that soaking it in a solution of white vinegar and water would help...and it did! I bought this mat for my very active 16 month old, but was worried my 5 1/2 year old wouldn't like it...she says it's comfortable and meanwhile keeps her active little brother safe (always trying to stand up in the tub).
