Love these. I originally bought them to put outside on our patio so the baby would have somewhere to scoot around while we were all outside, but I've found we use them everywhere. My 6-month old loves touching the different textures and it seems to also be helping him as he starts to crawl (safe place to practice and the textures provide some extra grip for his feet).

It is thicker than any other similar product I looked at. Great price! It is perfect for my baby learning to crawl. I do not have to worry about him hurting himself when he falls. It will be a great toy when he is older as well.

We have this as a play mat in an enclosed area. It's the softest, thickest mat we found. Our baby is pulling up but can't stand on his own, so when he falls he's cushioned by the mat. No knots on the head and no crying baby! He also loves exploring the different colors and textures. I've seen other similar mats, but this is the best!

This mat is wonderful!! My daughter has reflux and spits up quite a bit and I was always cleaning blanket after blanket plus it would soak through to the carpet, but this wipes up so easily. It is pretty thick foam so if she looses her balance and tips over, it is a soft surface to land on. She sits and plays on hers all the time. Couldn't live without it!!

I use this product to cover the hardwood floors in my 9 month olds play room. I love how thick the pads are and how colorful it is. I decided to take a few and create a box out of it which she seemed to really like. Although the box cant support her weight so I have to keep a close eye on her as she tends to balance her self on it.
I dont like the pattern when you lay it out in alphabetical order the colors start of following a sequence. Then towards the end of the alphabet some of the letters have the same background as the letters following it. for ex. there are 3 orange backgrounds in a row. Not a big deal just something I noticed. Also I have cats and for some reason they tend to put little holes in the mat when they walk on it.

We covered our wood floors in our playroom with these letters. They are great, far better than other puzzle mats we have seen in stores, thicker and much higher quality. My son loves feeling the different textures and when he falls down on them, he gets right back up without a tear!

Purchased this for my first child and held up during the several months of use. Put it away in a closet in original plastic bag and then brought it out for our second child to play on. As my second child started to play, her hands and feet were full of red paint/foam (?) particals. Seems like all the red foam pieces are disintegrating as both childern crawl around and or sit on the mat. A headache to get it all off their skin.

I LOVE the puzzle mat. It is serving as a partial floor covering in our daughter's room where there are hard wood floors. The puzzle pieces are large, durable, and soft to sit on. Our daughter loves to pull the letters out of the pieces and explore them. I love story time on the floor because it is a comfortable place to sit! The One Step Ahead letter puzzle mat is a fraction of the price of other mats at major home goods stores and you get ALL the alphabet letters. Great product!

I really like the thickness and the brightness of color with these mats as compared with others I have checked out. I also don't feel that they "smell" bad enough to be an issue. We have a small house, but I never smelled anything that would cause me to return them.
