WE Love these so much that we bought 2 sets ofthe alphabets, numbers, and shapes! we also built little houses with them and covered the floor! We made big blocks that our son love to stack and flip! What we love most about theses are that they are thick unlike most of the other brands... they are also extremely durable...deffinitly not cheaply built like most alphsmats!

I had to buy a second set to replace all of the red pieces which were disintegrating and rubbing off on my girls' feet. Very hard to clean. I wish I would have just gotten a large area rug.

We have hardwood floors so this is a great product for your little one who is getting ready to crawl. My 7mo old loves it....I also use it to put her down for nap, it is so soft and cushioned.

I use the mat in the family room and my daughter 10 months) plays on it, drinks her milk on it, sleeps on it and as she gets older we will use as interactive tool for her to learn numbers and letters. The only gripe i had was that the mats were smaller in size than i expected, but i had also purchased the number mats which made it look a lot better.

I love the mat in that the foam is thick, the quality is good and the colors are fun. However, when I took them out of the package the smell was so toxic that I could hardly stand being in the room. We left them out in the open air for four weeks hoping that the smell would dissipate but it hasn't. Even though the EVA foam is non-toxic, I don't feel comfortable having my baby crawl around on it so I'm returning them. Makes me sad because I think it's the price & thickness make them a better option than the other ones out there. I bought all three styles and had the same issue with them all.

We are using this mat for an outdoor patio play area. It is a really durable material and super easy to clean. My son even colored all over them with crayons, and it wiped right off!

We have our hardwood floor covered with this mat to keep my son from slipping and hitting his head (which he did a TON when learning to walk/crawl). It is thick and cushioned a fall from the couch without any crying. The major downside is that it is a total pain to clean. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

We use this instead of a rug. It's soft so it muffles falls and it's warm so he can play on it for hours. My son is seven months and still hasn't figured out he can pull the letters out, but he will as our neighbor has. No smell from it and it's very easy to clean. We have three, one for each room he uses to play in.

My little girl loves her mat. I don't particularly appreciate that when i build a block, it tends to stretch out the attaching fingers on the edges.

I think this is a great product and it keeps my son safe on our hardwood floor. The squares, edges, and corners are all sold separately. It would be very helpful if some guidance was provided on how many edges you'll need for the # of squares you're buying. For example, if you buy 26 letters, the end result won't be a perfect rectangle and you'll need 5 or 6 sets of edges (4 edges per set), depending if you use all the squares or leave two off to make a rectangle. This could be explained a lot better on the website.

I use this in my son's playroom. He loves feeling the different textures and is just learning that the pieces come apart which he thinks is hilarious. It is a great safety feature as we have hardwood floors and he is crawling and starting to pull himself to standing on anything! I plan on buying more sets to cover the whole floor in the playroom. I love that this product was engaging to him at 5 months (feeling the textures as he pulled himself around)now at 9 months and I can see this growing with him for many years to come.

More expensive but these mats are definitely thicker than mats sold at large toy/baby stores. We bought 1 set of these and 1 set from a local store and there is a good enough difference in the thickness that we bought another set from One Step Ahead. Great padding over our hardwood floors as our son learned to pull himself up, stand, and then walk. Although it says can be used for all ages, we pulled out some of the smaller pieces that he could put in his mouth (holes inside the letters B, P, etc). Would definitely recommend.
