My mother-in- law had similar thing when her boys were small , just instead of mash , they had lightweight fabric , so it is not exactly new product , but we like it anyway , becouse baby can chew things , which otherwise I could not give to him, like teething buiscuits , because they brake easly. The only problem is if food what you put in is soft , like bananas , will be little harder to clean. I would recomend to other parents .

Thought that it would be good for meal times or even for snacks. However try to clean this thing.... good luck.

i saw this particular item (different brand) in a store for about half of what i paid here. you do get 2 of the feeders with this item but honestly, one at a time is all that you require. the bag is a NIGHTMARE to clean by hand. i assume dishwashers do a much more efficient job. it is constructed very well. the baby is usually a mess by the time he's done playing with it but i guess the point of it is to avoid choking, not keep the food in his mouth. :) warning: bananas will be a complete MESS. overall it is an excellent product! :)

I have used this with all three of my boys. I have tried other products and have found the twist on top with this feeder to be the best and the nets last a long time and stand up well to a toothbrush and a little bleach. As far as cleaning the net... it has to be done as soon as they finish to make it the easiest but that is the same with all nets. I love it and it gives the baby something to chew on and me a few minutes to get stuff done. This thing is great for bananas, pretzels, bread, crackers, pears, apples, anything that will fit. It can be messy...but what self-fed baby isn't !

Entertains baby at restaurants. Mesh bags are a little hard to clean, but baby loves to munch on fruit, veggies - items that would otherwise be a choking hazzard. I've even put ice cubes in for teething.

This is a much better product than anything I could find in my local stores. The advantage is the removal mesh bag. Bags with other products do not remove, making effective clean-up impossible. I keep fruit in them and store in the freezer for an easy snack and to soothe achy gums.

With this product I felt secure giving solid food (fruits and vegies) to my baby. I'm pregnant and already bought another kit. Also give it as a gift to a friend. I totally recomend it!

My son is 7 1/2 months old and loves anything banana. This is the easiest way for him to eat bananas and feed himself without me worrying about him choking. He loves doing it and it frees my hands for a period of time. The mesh bags are a little hard to get all the banana out and the handle is a little heavy for him, but it has not stopped him from just holding on to the mesh bag and squishing the banana. I am so glad to have these. Will use again and again until he is eating on his own.

Sounds like a great idea, but product didn't live up to my expectations. I placed single peach slices in the mesh bag for my son. Too much peach was left behind in the bag. It was simpler and faster just to peel a soft peach and give it to my son to chew on. Bag must be cleaned after each peach slice as fruit got stuck in mesh. Too messy and not practical.

I love this feeder and so does my son. We put frozen fruit in it and ice cubes when he is teething. It is great for spring and summer so he can get al the in season fruits. The mesh holder is a little difficult to clean but I still love it!

I am introducing food to my 7 month old and like to place frozen peached in this for her sore gums. I have found that frozen foos works better than fresh, and highly recommend that you not put bananas in them - I ended out throwing out the netting because I couldn't get it completely clean.

These are great to use for teethers. The only downfall, the "net" is VERY difficult to clean. And when I finally have time to clean them, they still aren't clean. I don't want to keep buy new but looks like that's what I'll have to do because my confidence is low due to left over food particles. You just don't know if bacteria or mold has grown on the remaining food.

I really liked the idea of this product. Unfortunatley I haven't had much luck with this product. It works nice at first but eventually my little one figures out how to take it apart. I thought it was a fluke the first time but she has managed to get it apart more than once. It works well but I have to keep a very close eye on her when she uses it. Also depending on what you put in it, it can be difficult to clean the mesh bag.

I have put many fruits in here and my 9 month baby girl loved them. Especially bananas, I froze pieces and put them in here to help her with teething and a great snack. She loved it.
