Purchased this for my 6 month old granddaughter. She likes to bang things and this fit the bill. It has the added noises that encourages her to bang it again. My 2yo grandson likes it also and has to be reminded to share it with her. Would be nice if it had a choice for soft or loud sound, but I am still very happy with the product. The colorful movement in the hammer part of the toy also catches the baby's attention, it has just the right soft grip for her little hand and it not too heavy. I enjoy watching her enjoy it!!

We just got this as a Christmas gift for my son. He has some developmental delays and often ignores toys, but he actually took an immediate liking to this one. It is very simple to operate and I love how colorful it is...All in all, a great buy.

This hammer worked for about 5 seconds. I showed my 12 month old how to push the tube back and forth to make the silly sounds. When I gave it to him, he immediately dropped it on the floor. No more silly sounds. What a complete waste of money. Also, I expected it to be a bigger toy - it's only about 5 inches long.
