Pink Polka-Dot Kitchen & Refrigerator

first the con: it took way more then an hour for me to make (i am usually good and quick with these). second thing is that the plastic latch on the fridge wore off within a day of my three kids opening and closing it. BUT: THIS IS A GREAT KITCHEN FOR THE MONEY. I personally always wanted the [...] kitchen set but we are not rich people so I always kept an eye out for something close and realistic for middle class people. Anyhow after searching for 2-3 years this is it. It looks exactly like its picture, my girls love it and for one low price you get both. In this day and age value=money.

We bought this for our daughter for xmas (opened it early lol). It was VERY long to put together. I would think if someone didnt like to read directions before putting this up or someone who isnt good at building they might make a regretable mistake while putting it together. I made sure my husband did not put it together because I am certain he would have rushed and scratched something or worse. It is made out of wood and the paint wont scratch easily by a child. It looks as if they put a nice scratch resistant finish on it. I love how sturdy it is but our 20 month old daughter already tipped the fridge over when opening up the top door of it. They should deffinatly think about adding wall anchores to this prooduct to make it steady. I got it completed about 2 hours time without mistakes. I made sure to read the directions before putting anything together. I am VERY happy with this item aside from the hard work it took.

If you are buying this for the holidays I would be sure to put it together a few days in advace or you will be up way past your bed time.

About the item:
The doors all close wonderful and click in place and open easily enough that my 20 month old can do it. I love the chalkboard on the front! My daughter loves making the stove knobs click and putting all of her playfood in the fake sink. She really loves making the clock hands move too.

Suggestions:
Anchores for each of the pieces. And maybe an attachment for condiments in the fridge door. I am now out to buy some wooden food and an apron set wooden baskets to seperate the food groups in the fridge:)
