I bought this swim diaper for my one year old, after reading the awesome reviews. While I think the construction is good, and it is a good fit for my son, I think I should've bought more than one. I bought them to avoid disposable swim diapers, but if he has a bowel movement in this, and I have to go clean it up, then I'm left having to also put it back on him if he is going to swim further??

Great way to save money. I bought a 6month and a 12month because my son is a big 4month-old and have gone with the 6month for now. The only complaint is that once I tighten the velcro at the waist the leg openings are too snug for his chubby infant legs so I have to loosen the waist which increases the risk for leakage. I am glad I made this purchase though and will continue to use them until we potty train.

I used this under my Childs overall swimming suit and it holds up...make sure you get the right size because it's smaller than the actual size fit. My son is small so it was not a problem. The lace is not a problem as well because I only use it under his swim trunks kind of like when you have a disposable.

This diaper actually worked better than I expected. The material isn't very thick, so I thought it might not be durable enough for its purpose. I was surprised that it did the job, and pleased that I don't have to keep buying disposable swimmer diapers.

If you have ever tried to change a swim diaper with a poop, you understand why these are the BEST! You can open them up. The others have to be scooted carefully down the child's legs without rubbing the poop all over them!
These are GREAT! I have used them for 15 years in 2 different families, as well as recommending them for anyone I babysit.

I was hoping that this would be better. The typical swim diapers have to be pulled on, so I thought one with velcro would be easier. Unfortunately there was very little elastic on the back, so there was a large gap which wouldn't hold in any accidents. I am returning the one we purchased.

Fit my 4 month old (15&1/2lbs, 27+inches) great. Way better than the disposable Huggies & Pampers brands. No problem under her swimsuit bottoms.

The diaper works great. However my daughter has always liked to pull threads or ribbons and sucks on tags. So she is usually naked shortly after the diaper goes on. Because she can pull the strings and the velcro. Going to try double knotting it or may have to order a pull on swim diaper.

The swim pants work well for containing solids but don't expect it to contain liquid. I dressed our daughter in her swim pants and headed next door to the neighbor's pool. Unfortunately, she had wet the seat by the time we got there.

I like this product- environmentally friendly and functional. As the other reviewers noted, it does not hold pee well. It works for poop. It does run a bit big, but is adjustable. This helps save $ on swim diapers and also is less wasteful/harmful to the environment.

this is one of my favorite items from one step ahead! we use this diaper anytime we swim and it has gotten lots of use. it fits great (be sure to read the fitting chart, sizes run small) and is easy to wash. my son looks adorable just swimming in this- or its so lightweight it can go under swimming trunks just fine. you should buy two- just to keep a clean one always on hand :)

So at first I thought it was not going to fit and it turned out to be great!! My daughter, 19 months, did not even complain and it dried quickly. So glad I took a chance and ordered it. Now I wish I had to or three to match different tops.

At first, when I opened the packaging, I was a little disappointed. It seemed that maybe it was a cheap not-so-soft material and that the velcro, if it came unstuck, would scratch our son. We used it in the baby pool first (I still put a disposable swim diaper underneath because I wasn't sure how it would work). It was GREAT. The velcro did not come undone and there is a littel string in the front that you also tie to keep it adjusted according to your baby's size. The material is fast drying and does not hold water at all. It is excellent. It fits around his legs nicely and does not rub anywhere. The material is perfect for swimming. The color is bright too (I got the green), so your kid stands out and is clearly seen! I am impressed. Worth the price.

My son gets a bad diaper rash from the disposable swim diapers, so I bought one of these diapers to test it out. I was very happy with how cute it looked, was not bulky and best of all worked! It fit under his bathing suit and when he did poop in the diaper it held it all in! Very pleased so I ordered 3 more to get us through the summer! My son is 13 months and a tiny guy...19 lbs the 12 month diapers fit great!
