I bought this for my 11 month old daughter for christmas, overall she wasnt interested. However my 2 year old LOVES this toy and plays with it everyday. Developmentally he's behind in speech and works with a therapist once a week at our house. We use this toy for therapy sessions where he loves to pull out the toys and say what they are. My daughter is now 14 months and would still rather chew the toys (the sun is her favorite) but I would still recommend this toy for toddlers between 1-2 years of age. It's also very easy to spot clean the box, we already had an issue with a spilled drink and the stains came right out. The box has also been tossed around, stepped on, you name it and it still looks brand new. I cannot say enough, we love it!

This was recommended to us by a grandparent . Our grandson is 1 year old and he loves it. I thought it was very well made. Whether it is easily cleanable -- we'll see, but I think you can throw it in the wash.

This is a cute toy. My toddler plays with my 9 month old with the toy. I would say the 9 month may be too young since all he wants to do is chew the toys. However, it is a nice toy for the siblings to play with together.

My child is not quite developmentally ready for this toy but loves to hold the little red monkey and look at the lion on the box. I am sure he will really enjoy it once he understands "object permanence." The toy is very cute, bright, and seems well made but kind of expensive for a baby toy.

My 6 month old loves the colors and tags. She also likes to hold on to the box for balance while she learns to sit up. My 2 1/2 year old likes to take the toys out and show them to her sister.

Got this for my 9 month old...should be good as she gets a little older. She's too young to reach in and get any of the toys. It's a very cute idea and cute little toys inside. Didn't hold much attention from my 2 or 4 year old either. We'll see if around a year old she enjoys it or not...

This is a great box full of cute toys. Our 8 month old is still too young to grasp the concept, but the toys inside are just right for him to teethe on and I think they'll wash fairly well. As he grows, I think he'll enjoy the "What's Inside" idea. The box has some structure to it, so it's not machine washable but should be able to be spot cleaned. That's the only con I see at this point.

Really like the toy, only drawback for me is that ours did not come with the little stuffed monkey inside. Instead we got two dogs - only a minor issue, but I would have liked to have the monkey to make each item different.

Love this toy for my 6 month old--she doesn't know yet that the toys are inside, but she loves the outside with the colors and the velcro butterfly. She also loves the side with the tags. I can't wait for her to learn that a whole new world awaits with the toys inside!

This toy is fun for my 6 month old and my 2 and a half year old. My 6 month old likes to turn the box in his lap as he sits and my toddler likes to guess what's in the box. I also put other small, but safe objects in the box for my older son to guess at. Could you do the same thing with a Kleenex box? Yes, but it isn't as cute!

We just gave this as a Christmas gift to our son, and so far we haven't gotten a major response from him yet. I chose this particular toy for a couple reasons: 1)my son suffers from dropping seizures and it is made of soft materials (safer for him to play), and 2) he is also developmentally delayed so I thought it would be perfect for working on object permanence and putting in and taking out. All the toys are soft plush and even the box is safe for him and I love the quality of each and every piece. He's not interested in it yet, but that is most likely due to his delays as he usually shows little to no interest in most toys. But, it was exactly what I was looking for to work with him on these skills. His therapist will just love it when she sees it!
