My son was so excited when the chart arrived. We opened it up and looked at all the different pieces(responsibilites and rewards). As a family we picked out the pieces together and let our son choose his reward. It has really worked. He is so excited when he finishes a task from the chart. I would definately recommend this. I like the fact that you can make up your own responsibilites and rewards.

I have a three-year-old and she has really taken to this chart! She loves her "responsibilities." They even have easy ones, like "share" and "try not to whine." Plus, when she starts to whine, I just warn her that she won't earn her star for the day and the whining stops! I also really like that it comes with some blank responsibility and reward patches so you can make up your own. This has really made her excited about helping out!

This was a great purchase. I couldn't have made it myself for what I paid for it. I love that you can customize the goals for the child and also adjust the weekly goal (# of stars) - this is a great item.

I do like the chart as my children (twin 3 y.o.'s) love jobs and acknowledgement for their work. This is advertized as a product for 18mos on up. I think providing tangible reinforcers only once a week for most young children is not "reinforcing" enough to provoke change. My kids need at minimum daily tangilbles in conjunction with the stars, hugs and verbal praise. In future versions I would recommend making the "reward" part more flexible to accomodate young children if those who devleoped this intend for it to be used with toddlers.

We bought the responsibility chart for our 8 year old that always has to be reminded to do EVERYTHING!! We had the chart personalized which he loved! He also loves the shiny stars he puts up for completing an activity. The chart comes with many choices of responsibilites and rewards with blank ones to personalize to your need!

I gave this to my 4 year old son for Christmas. Although we've only been using it for less than a week, my son is already very aware of how his actions will determine whether he earns his stars, and I've seen a substantial improvement in his behavior. My favorite responsibility so far is "Try not to whine." The chart also gives him practice with his reading and number skills. The only negative I've found so far is that I wish it would have come with fabric paint so we could create new rewards and responsibilities.
