We purchased this product for use at the beach. It was not stable at all in the winds at the ocean and was completely useless to us. It was very disappointing from that aspect, but we're hoping it will be of help in our backyard.

The first time I put it up it was difficult, and the directions do tell you that two people are recommended, but since that first time i haven't had any trouble. My son loves to run in and out of it, he will sit in it and have lunch, or I will put his water table in there and he will stay for quite a while, and it doesn't get warm inside. I have used it at the beach, at the lake, and even in our own yard. Great purchase!

Everyone is right it does tend to bend in wind but it is suppose to be flexible otherwise the poles would snap and brake. It can bed during windy times which has touch the children sitting or an infant playing under it so for that reason I would supervise at all times yet the few times it has it was a few seconds and the child was never harmed

I read the reviews before I purchased this, how it was hard to set up, had to have 2 people to do it, not sturdy in the wind, and I thought it couldn't be that bad. Well, it was, it was a pain to set up by myself, you definitely need 2 people, I had an awful time just trying to figure out "how" to set it up, plus it doesn't take much for the wind to blow it over because the stakes don't hold it in place well. I ended up sending it back. Definitely would not waste my time ordering this again.

We use this for our 2 1/2 year old son, to offer a little shade in a backyard without a covered patio or large shade trees. He enjoys sitting in it and calls it his 'tent'. My husband and I can also sit in a lawn chair under it...there's room for one adult and one child, or multiple children. It offers a breeze through the back "window". We have some pretty strong winds with thunderstorms in Oklahoma, and so far, it hasn't blown away or even come up from the ground at all.

I love having the canopy setup in the back yard. It's easy to put up and I don't have to put as much sunscreen on the babies.

The canopy packs up into it's original bag with ease.

This is the best sun tent i have found. It might be easier to set up with 2 adults but I did it by myself in just a few minutes. Good construction but you must use the stakes to get it set up right. Its a bit flimsy without them and any wind will turn it on its side. That being said, with the stakes it works great and I can put my 6 mo old in his exersaucer under it so he can enjoy the summer outside with the rest of the family!

We put this over the kiddie pool on our deck and hope to use it at the beach. It works well for how we use it, but putting it together is very frustrating. The two stakes are very long and catch on the canopy loops, pulling them apart. Suffice it to say that I don't curse often, but I make my kids stay inside while I construct this canopy ;-)

This seemed perfect to shade our daughter while she played in her sandbox. Unfortunately by the end of the summer you would have thought that this was around 10 years old. The color was completely faded and every single loop had busted, so the tent could no longer stay up. I would not recommend this item.

Although I found this item relatively easy to assemble and disassemble in my living room, my sole reason for purchasing this item was to provide a shaded area for my toddler to play in the sand at the beach. It takes up very little room in the car and easily folds back up but this item is ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR THE BEACH. The tent was terribly difficult to assemble with the breeze and though it stayed anchored in the sand (courtesy of the included stakes) the tent was continually blown flat against the ground with the ocean breeze. I was very disappointed that we were not able to make any use of this item at all. If all you are purchasing this item for is use in your yard (without a breeze) or a similar situation, this is a great item. However, do not count on this to perform satisfactorily under a breeze situation.

I set this up in my backyard on a breezy(not windy) day, it immediately blew over. The stakes would not hold it in the ground. [...]I am also trying to think of a way to make it work, but haven't done so yet. [...] I do like this company, but not for this product. Definitely not worth the money.

Great tent! We've owned other tents similar to this but this is our favorite. Other tents smother you with little air flow (even those with vented windows on the side). We prefer to put a blanket down and the air flow is at the bottom of this tent and keeps you cool. Setup is easy - just lay the tent out on the ground, put the poles together and slide each pole (just 2) through the looops and put it up. At the beach, be sure to dig down into the sand and put your stakes down deep and cover with sand. We find the poles do bend a little in a heavy wind. Would be better designed if had windows on all 3 sides so air could circulate through and prevent the buckling. Great to stay out of the sun!
