Have been searching high and low for an attractive, telescoping or walk-through-gate-type DARK wooden dog barrier, and this would be perfect but for its limited width. Please produce for 4' doorways +!!

We put this gate at the bottom of the stairs. We also had to buy 2 gate installation kits to make it fit in correctly. It installs easy and looks nice (other then the installations kits that had to be added on are white and don't match), but my older kids (4, 7, & 17) have all knocked the entire gate out of place. Now that they have learned to be more careful with how to open the gate and handle it, it will be fine. It keeps the 2 year old and 9 month old from getting through, which is what I got it for.
It does shut loudly. Also can get out of line easily and not latch correctly, so you have to adjust it and get it back in line. Not so great.
I have the Hands Free Gate for the top of the step and it's the best gate I've ever had (I've had 6 different kinds of gates for different things). It stays in place and latches perfect and never seems to need realligned or adjusted.

I have two children and two small dogs. The children kick it loose when they walk through. the latch at the top will latch and the bottom won't so the dogs push their way through. and guest constantly trip over the bottom if they can figure out how to open it.

Keeps our two dogs out of trouble. The wood is lovely and actually matches the wood in the room.

We use this gate to block off the bathroom from our son. I found this gate difficult to install and so it won't be so easy to move to another location when the time comes to potty train. However, it is easy to use and my son has not been able to figure out how to open it. He stands on it and it does not move, and he is unable to climb it. I am pleased with the purchase, though in my opinion it is a little expensive.

This gate's opening is too small, it is hard to get through if you have something in your hands. Also, with the slightest bump it gets off balance and doesn't latch properly. Once that happens, it is harder to open, and trying to do that with one hand is even harder! I returned it for a full gate, even though we wanted tension, it just didn't work.

We put this at the top of our stairs and it is great. Better than most baby gates and easy for adults (not little ones) to open.

This gate is very nice. It's great that your are able to move to different area if needed. I used at the top of the stairs and it is very secure. You don't have to ruin your walls! Love it would recommend to family and friends.

The gate looks very good and I love the pressure mounts - no need for drilling. The problem is that the gate swings close automatically if you let go and makes a loud noise. When you are holding a sleeping baby you cannot afford the noise, but at the same time you dont have the hands nor the patience to manually close.
