I like the mat overall, but I feel that it has a little too much going on and there's really no place for my son to lay - it's really "lumpy" because of all the toys and stuff. He does like the water a lot, but he acts like he wants to drink it and just ends up spending the whole time sucking on it and drooling all over it and himself.

I purchased this for our son that isn't here yet, but I really like the quality of the fabric and the construction seems like it will hold up. I remember some of the mats that I used with my first some and they were just too bulky and didn't store or travel well. I am looking forward to using this and taking it with us to entertain our son when he gets here!

I purchased this when my 8 month was sitting up on her own and rolling over. She loves the water mat, monkey and sun that stay attached. This is very high quality. I also like that the back it water proof. Wish I had purchased this sooner! I would highly recommend this! Although this is bigger than most, wish I could find something even larger! Has everything even crinkly leaves and tags!

My daughter is 3 1/2 months old and I wanted a mat that I could put her on for tummy time. I am not currently using the water portion of the mat. I threw the mat in the washer when I first bought it and it came out of the wash looking great-I was worried about the mirror but no problems, even stuck it in the dryer for a little bit. Colors are very bright and I would definitely recommend the mat!

I wasn't sure it would hold my 6-month-old grandson's attention. We've been waiting for him to roll over on his own--not even 2 minutes on the mat and he was rolling over for the "crinkly" leaves! Tummy-time has suddenly become more fun. I have a feeling that he will be enjoying this mat even when he can crawl and explore his surroundings. Cleaning is a breeze, too. I washed it before we let him play on it--as recommended, cold water and hang to dry. A couple hours in the sun on a cool, breezy day and it was dry and ready for play!

This mat fits perfectly in the Sun Smarties Infant Cabana Tent, which is why I bought it, but it can also be used on the floor for tummy time. My son loved the bright colors, attached toys, and the water-filled pocket that has lily pads and frogs inside - really cute. I would fill it up with cold water before heading out to the beach, and my son loved it on a hot day.

We have two other play mats for our 6-month-old grandson, but our daughter (his mom) prefers this one because of the water play insert, the bright colors, and the multiple activities. The only drawback we've found is that the pillow prop cannot be machine laundered.

This is a beautiful, colorful mat, but does not hold up to play. I purchased this for my 5 month old and he immediately pulled the water "pond" out and stuck the plastic in his mouth. The waterproof backing causes the mat to slide around all over the floor and bunch up under little ones so it becomes a smother rist. Oh - and the water pond instructions tell you to empty the water every day - like parents have time for that! And it is REALLY difficult to remove all the water from the valve. Artistically, the mat is gorgeous, functionally, it is a disaster.

The mat can be washed, but the pillow, which gets a LOT of drool says it can only be "surface cleaned".

I've been using this mat since day one (four months now). As an early childhood educator, I know a good child development tool when I see one, so I didn't hesitate to buy this. Now that my son has been able to use it, I can say that it really has helped him with neck control, not to mention the sights and sounds that are stimulating! The only thing it is missing is a teether toy. This is a must for quality tummy time practice!

This product is wonderful. I initially purchased it as the base to the Sun Smarties tent but have been using it in my home as well. It is colorful and incorporates a lot of different textures. I only wish the water circle was attached better as my daughter keeps tearing it off the mat. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

I really like this mat. It is very different from others that I've seen. It has a slick bottom so you can easily drag it room to room. It has very bold beautiful colors great for stimulation. It has a ton of different textures to offer baby. There is a sun with a mirror on the inside that you can do different things with. My daughter loves tags and ribbons (6 mos) so the ribbon lion mane was perfect for her. It's also very durable and sturdy.

My only con would be a user issue. At times I get concerned because my little girl sometimes gets tired during tummy time and lays her face flat down in the pat mat. It worries me a bit because its similar to the plastic bag over the face thing except that she can move her head to the side. As long as you are watching, no big deal, but I would never leave an infant alone on this thing just in case.

I forgot the water pat mat comes out pretty easily when you move it from room to room,but that' s really not a big deal. Its easy to put back in.
