This is a great concept, but the quality is AWFUL! Here are my three major complaints:

1) Many of the pieces were warped. One of the center dividers wouldn't fit into the groove on the sideposts because it was too badly warped. One of the sideposts was warped and bowed outward which caused the space between the sideposts to be too large to hold the center divider upright.
2) This is the worst...the pegs on the bookends that are supposed to fit into predrilled holes on the shelves are too small in comparison to the holes to make the bookends stand upright. They just flop right over! Until I wrapped sticky felt around each peg, it couldn't even be used as a bookshelf. Even now, it is not ideal. It is very difficult to move the bookends now and they still lean over instead of standing completely upright.
3) This picture does not show the top surface of the bookshelf. If you could see the top surface, you would notice exposed screws! Most pieces of furniture come with little plugs to hide screws. This did not and it is just plain unsightly.

I hope people read this and decide not to waste their money. I too read some of the negative reviews out there and said, "ahh...it'll be fine." Well, it wasn't. Save yourself the money and the hassle!

This is a great idea but the quality leaves alot to be desired! The dividers are worthless so we had to go buy multiple book ends to even use it! I would not recommend this at all!!!

Overall, it's a pretty good product. It's not particularly high quality, but I also don't get a feeling that it will fall apart presently. I like the rounded edges and the turntable design. Was easy to assemble - I did it myself (my husband was recovering from a surgery) - I don't normally put furniture together, but did not have an issue figuring it out. The end holders do fall down, but I just cut out squares of coloful cardboard, bent them into the L shape and placed between each wall and divider and now they hold up nicely. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I did a great deal of debating this purchase because of the negative reviews. I found that this was a good purchase for the money. Similar units are selling for $250 and up! It did only take about 30 minutes to put together. The book end supports aren't the best but will work and the longer books do not fit so I just stack them on top, however it was[$] compared to $250. You get what you pay for and I do think this is worth the[$] that I spent! I wanted something that wouldn't tip, didn't have sharp edges and provided lots of storage in a small space and this was perfect!

Terrible, this thing just fell apart, and the dividers kept falling over and didn't stay in place. It was so annoying.. would definitely not recommend this, look for something else. Or spend a little more that will last you longer.

I ignored the negative reviews in hopes that my bookshelf would be different...so my first complaint is that the shelf support is in the middle of the shelf vs on the corners so it blocks the books from being easily accessed. Second complaint is that the shelves will collapse if not seated on the pegs just right...Third complaint is that the book ends do just fall over and do not support the weight of the books...and I think my last complaint is that the shelf dividers are warped and therefore not long enough to fit properly across the whole shelf.

Very disappointed for the price. I thought it would hold everything from large books to dvds. Instead, the larger books fall out and I now need to get a basket to hold these. The bookends are very flimsy and they don't give you enough/ very few bookends. It arrived scratched. Also, it does take some time to assemble - about an hour.

Total Garbage.Pieces do not fit together.The dividers are too small, shelves do not fit in unit. The second shelf just collapsed on our 16 month old. Trying to return it, but customer service says we have to dis-assemble & pack up to return.That's a headache, too.

This was easy to put together, however it was even easier for my 14M boy to take the shelving apart while getting books out! I had read some reviews and thought people were just picky, however they are right. The finish is peeling off, appears to be a very thin coat, upon arrival. The bookends never stay upright and as soon as you take a book out everything topples over. Also, all book sizes do not fit and the side piece covers up alot of the books, making getting/seeing centered books on shelf difficult. I would not spend the money on this product and can't believe OneStepAhead/LeapsandBounds is continuing to sell this product. I've had great quality products prior to this.

I teach pre-k. In the years prior to having this shelving unit it has been almost impossible to keep my Library area organized. The children are able to return the books to their proper place. It is also sturdy enough that I do not have to worry about the unit tipping over.
