My little guy wants to pull open the oven or hang by the handle. While teaching him that this is not safe, the oven lock is a MUST HAVE! The only "con" is that it sometimes starts to swing to the lock position when the oven is open.

I didn't need any oven safety product for our first son, but our second is a climber. He liked hanging off the oven door handle and I needed to find something before he got hurt. This was the only place I could find something to meet our needs and it worked great. It was very easy to install with the tape included and it is lasting well using the oven often at high temps. So easy to use I can even keep it locked while the oven is in use. Great price for peace of mind.

Fell off after just a day. So annoying. I plan to buy some more adhesive and give it another try, but am not optimistic (and shouldn't have to buy my own adhesive)

I have a small all oven unit with a broiler below. So i bought one for the main oven and one for the broiler part. I managed to install it on the top oven (not easily because it has quite a big gap..it took a few tries to get it right), but my daughter can't reach that part yet anyway. The way my oven is set up, there is nowhere i could attach the lock to lock the broiler part. It would not install. It would just fall off.. Then, after about a month of use, lock on the main part melted and will no longer lock. Useless.

This is a great idea, but the sticky back application doesn't work. It fell off after we used the oven once. I plan on returning this product.

The idea is great, but it doesn't stick very well. My 22 mos old pulled it right off. If they could get it to stick better then it'd be a great idea.

I caught our 1 1/2 year old opening the oven door a few times... thankfully when it was off! I quickly purchased this oven lock to prevent possible injury. It was EASY to install with just a peel and stick backing, holds tight like it was part of the oven, and works like a charm! I love that I can easily open it but that even our 4 year old cannot figure out how to open it. Great purchase!!!

i love this it works awesome my 17 month old is very curious and always climbing on things and opening the oven door to stand on it to see what is on top ...my husband put it on in less than a minute my son went over and pulled on the door he is a strong boy for being little and it did not come off very easy to open its not adult proof like most baby locks its a great product everyone with little ones should have it

We installed this on our oven, but the adhesive never stuck, even when we left it for over 48 hours. It would be great if it stayed installed.

We have a GE oven. We saw our oven at several different major retailers, so it is not "unusual" or "unique" in any way. We were disappointed that this lock did not fit on our oven.

This product is a great idea and goes nicely with the decore of most kitchens. Unfortunately, it did not work with our oven. 1st, it did not stick. I have a brand new oven, and cleaned it with alcohol wipes before applying. It still did not stick. 2nd, it does not fit behind the handle of the oven door. So I could not unlatch the device as it would hit the handle everytime. It's a great idea, but check your stove before investing in this product.

We cleaned the stove area as suggested and so far it is staying on strong. It definately provides a strong lock. The sliding feature is a bit tricky to know whether it is locked/ unlocked. I give this 3 stars only b/c of the mentioned feature, but it is worth it so far.
