Comments about One Step Ahead Lean On Me Activity Bolster:
I liked this item and so did my son. We used it more when he was in that unstable sitting stage. It helped when we were working on him sitting up and for a couple of feedings. Great value for the price!
Our daughter is just learning to sit by herself so she needs lots of support. This bolster is high enough to support her properly in all directions. She loves sitting up and being able to see everything and everyone around her while playing with the attached toys. She uses a bolster at school, but it doesn't have toys attached, so if she drops a toy out of reach, she's left with no toys until a teacher has a free moment to get her some more. We love that this bolster has toys attached and so does she! She's never without a toy to keep her busy. The only downside (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that the fabric cover is not removable for washing. On her very first use, our daughter spit up on the bolster and we could only spot clean it. We know this will happen again and again in the future so a removeable cover would be a wonderful addition to this great product. It would mean having to provide all removeable toys as well, but it would be worth it to have a washable cover.
I had purchased this as a gift for several of my friends even before I had my own baby. I thought that it was the neatest thing. Since my husband loves to watch TV and have a cup holder in his media chairs I thought this would be a cool gift. Now that I have my own little guy, I am loving it. He just started using it at 15 weeks. He isn't sitting up on his own yet but this offers great support. I'm next to him watching but I don't worry that it is too flimsy to hold him. He loves to sit in it and looks so proud. He loves the attached toys too. He just started grabbing things recently. He loves the book and looks so curious when he hears the music on one of the arms. I think he's really learning new things by hanging out in his chair. I highly recommend it at this age.
This is a pretty durable bolster. The only thing that I haven't liked about it is that the seating area is so small that larger babies can't fit in it. My son was about 18lbs and couldn't sit inside the bolster because his tummy was bigger than the bolster seat.
Our daughter loves this seat! She is very tall for her age-90th percentile for height so a lot of other chairs or seat didn't fit her legs-this is great-she loves that each toy makes a noise or has a new twist-like a mirror or cup toy-this is a great purchase-she loves sitting up and feeling safe that she isn't going to tip or fall over!

Great item for Grandma's house: easily portable, provides interactive entertainment
I bought this for my four month old and it holds her up well. I got tired of laying her on her back or stomach. She seems to enjoy the new prospective and likes the attached toys. Buy this early so you can get your moneys worth. It does have a small window of use. Doubt a toddler would use it as a play center, but great for the 4-10 month age.
Bought this for my 5-month old son who is starting to learn to sit. WHen I put him in there, however, he tends to slide down and back is not been supported enough that his head wobbles. He loves the toys on it though.
This is a great item for babies 3-5 months. My baby is six months and the seating is a little snug on him. The features really keeps him occupied though..
My 4-month old loves this bolster - it is just enough support for him to sit up by himself. He really likes the toys on it as well.

I think this is a fairly good product, though I bought it on sale and would be a disappointed had a I paid full price. It needs a padded piece that sits between the legs so baby doesn't slide down. I plan to put something there for that purpose. I like that it is something portable that I can take with me for sitting my babies, as other toys/equipment for that purpose are hard to transport.
My 5 month old was a preemie and is still having a difficult time sitting by herself so I thought this would be a great assistance for her to keep her back straight. It might be too early to tell, but I'm not very pleased. The activity items are all behind the baby therefore the baby gets bored just sitting there. It just doesn't make sense to have all of the playful toys behind her when she can barely sit up. And I can't imagine how she would fit in there when she is older just to play with the toys when it's a round hole and there is no place for her legs. Again, might be too early to tell, but as of right now, just taking room in the house. [...]
My baby is 5 months old and not yet able to sit unassisted. I thought this bolster would be a good tool to help him do that. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide enough support for him; it's not quite tall enough, so he just flops to either side or to the back. I think it will be more useful as he's closer to sitting unassisted.
My 7 month old son absolutely loves this seat. It allows him to sit up straight with help to watch his videos and play. It keeps him busy with the toys also. He is outgrowing his bouncy seat, because he can't sit up and see things that are going on around him, this seat allows him to be as nosy as he wants.
