This product is a little too easy to install and remove. I discovered my 3 year old child's window wide open one evening after putting him to bed. When I asked "Where is the lock?" His response was "I took it off. It is on the floor!" Not so child proof. I was horrified!!!!

You only need one per window, so a 2 pack would work for 2 windows.

Our new windows did not come with a built in stopper. This item did the trick.

works but you will need to place 2 on each window for it to really hold. when there's only 1 on the window i can push up hard enough to open the window, which then causes your window to get stuck. but when I applied 2 to each window, it was a lot stronger.

So easy. Took all of 1 minute to install. I made sure I installed them when the kids were out of the room. They don't even know they are there! Much easier then ordering the gate for the window with measuring etc.

Now that the weather is nice, it is so hard to keep windows locked so that my very active, almost 2 year old doesn't open them. These wedges are a great solution! I can have the windows open some (ours are set at about 4 inches), yet feel comfortable knowing she can't open them farther with ease. I think it would take much effort from a toddler to push past the wedge. I looked at very expensive products for our windows and decided to try these. So glad I did!

This product did not fit very well on my window frames. My windows are original to my house (about 30 years old) and have metal frames. I was able to attach the product to my window frames, but they barely hung on and would sometimes move when I opened the window. I think this product would work well for the intended purpose if they happen to fit your window frames. I am going to try the stoppers that suction on to the window, though I'm concerned those will fall off too since I live in a dry environment. I wish there was another option besides a full window gate.

Being alone, I wanted something that would allow me to leave my windows open during nice weather and not feel uneasy about someone breaking into my house. These make it much more difficult for someone from the outside to push open your windows.

I put these on all my windows a few weeks ago and so far they are working great. My strong two year old has tested them several times and he couldn't get them to budge. I got these after he in a matter of seconds slid open the window and pushed the screen part way out. We have 2nd & 3rd story windows so this really scared me. I was afraid that we couldn't have the windows open anymore on these nice spring days. I like that they are discreet and covered by the shade. They are at the top of our sliding sideways windows. Great product.

We have a second-story sunroom off the back of our house. Our 2 1/2 year old managed to carry a step stool over to the window and unlock/open the glass and screen (both slide open). I heard him yelling at the neighbors, and found him leaning out the window. Thank goodness he did not fall, since he would not likely have survived. I ordered the window wedges that day, and as soon as they arrived, I placed them at the top edge of the screens out of reach of my son. He has since put them to the test several times, and he has not been able to open the screens. I have since notified the company who built our sunroom about the window wedges, so that they can provide that information to anyone else who has a similar problem.

These are very easy to install and so far have worked well. I can imagine that eventually my kids will figure out what is "stopping" the windows and will be able to peel the wedge off the velcro, but hopefully they'll be old enough then that it won't be dangerous...

I was trying to find somthing that was subtle for my son's window. I put these on when my son was not around and he has not noticed them yet. I think that I will put one on each side of the window for added saftey. I have an almost 3 year boy who is VERY busy, loves to climb and does not yet have a sense for his own saftey.
