I seem to worry more about my grandbabies than I did my children. I bought ear check because the 5 year old had ear infections that we were unaware of and were found on a routine visit to the doctor. And now with 2 nine month old girls I worry alot. I hadn't had the ear check but a couple of days and the 5 year old was so grumpy with just what seemed like a cold. I used the ear check and it read "consult physician" in both ears. Her momma did see the doctor and both ears were infected. Thanks ear check.

We use this all the time as our kids are prone to infections. We have even used it on neighbors and relatives - thy stop bye just to get checked and avoid acopay if it's just a cold. We've had only one false positive in many, many checks!
Our ped has been impressed and surprised be how accurately we know i there is an infection.

I got this for my infant son who couldn't let me know when he was in pain or once getting treatment if he was improving. I love this product; I feel more confident as a parent that my child is no longer suffering.

When my daughter developed a fever I used this to check her ears. According to the machine, her ears were perfect but according to the doctor she had a bad ear infection and was prescibed antibiotics.

Unfortunately, I found this to be very "hit & miss" type of product. It is really expensive and doesn't always give a clear answer. You can use it two times a day and get two different answers. It only made me feel slightly more confident in helping diagnose my sons cronic ear infections.

My son had an ear infection we we got it in, we were able to monitor the ear infection to see when it actually cleared up. Love it, and my son actually likes us to check his ears with it.

Does not work correctly. My 1-year old son has an ear infection verified by the doctor yesterday. I have tried multiple times to use the "ear check" to verify the infection, but it has reported "clean - no fluid" each time. It does not accurately detect fluid. Waste of $.

I purchased this because our grandchildren are prone to ear infections. My daughter-in-law tells me it's a lifesaver, as she can now determine if fluid is collecting in their ears long before it reaches the infection stage. Takes only a few seconds to use and kids love the music it plays, so there's no hassle. Highly recommend!!!

Bought this because my son had constant ear infections that eventually where solved with tubes. When my daughter came along and started with the ear infections I thought this might be good to get a "leg-up". All it ever showed was "Fluid Unlikely" even after going to the doctor and confirming fluid and an ear infection. After 3 or 4 events like that I scrapped it and scheduled her for tubes. Absolute waste of money as I can't return it.

I got this so I could try to determine myself whether my son had an ear problem, or was fussing with his ears. Turned out his was fine but my husbands registered as an ear infection when we tested it on us...he went to the doctor and it was confirmed. Nice to have the quick peace of mind (especially during those middle of the night bouts of unidentifiable fussiness).

I was very disappointed in this product. My 22 month old has had problems with frequent ear infections and thus the reason I bought it. I just took him to the doctor and checked him with this right before I left and it said fluid unlikely, when I got to the doctor I was told he had a bad ear infection. This product it obviously a waste of money! Don't waste your money because you can't return once the package is open.

I have three boys twins 5 and a 6 year old that get ear infections. This is a great well to tell if a doctor visit is warranted or if we should wait and see what develops. I can't tell you how many times we have been to the doctor and told their is nothing wrong and two days later we are back with an ear infection. Would recommend this to anyone with a child with ear infections

I didnt have the unit at the onset of my son's fevers, BUT after it was diagnosed, and the unit arrived, the reading coincided with the diagnosis of middle ear infection, reading 5 on the scale. Doctor had said the infection was moderate. My son has no pain with ear infections which is why I invested in this unit.

I already recommended it to another friend whose son had a ruptured eardrum due to infection, which was never felt by her 4-year old boy, who only had fevers.
