3-Story Fire Escape Ladder

No multi-level home should be without a fire ladder. So simple even a child can use it. This panic-proof Fire Escape Ladder was developed and patented by a firefighter and is a must for all three story homes. Unlike other emergency ladders, our fire escape ladder is guaranteed not to tangle, becomes rigid when stepped on, and will not sway. Stores easily under a bed or in a closet. Just hook it onto the window sill and pull the tear-away Velcro ® strap for a quick, non-slip path to safety. The aluminum and plastic design is so lightweight even a child can lift it. Holds up to 600 lbs.

  • Don't like ladder

  • Just received this ladder, was happy to have it but putting it back together and wrapping it with that stupid strip was cumbersome and it frustrated me lining up the step and the twisting. I thought the strip would make lifting and storing it under my bed easy, it wasn't. It unraveled. I shouldn't have to deal with frustration. Really want to send it back but might have mom use it for her room. Not happy with it at all. Want it out of my room.

  • Not Worth the Hassle

  • The ladder itself is very sturdy, once you actually get it hooked onto the window sill. But it came undone almost immediately after I took it out the box. The red cloth that's supposed to keep it together DOES NOT do the job. It only fastens at the top with a thin strip of velcro. The enclosed instructions are for the two-story ladder, which complicated the task of re-folding it. There's no way either of my children would be able to get this ladder onto the window herself, as it's way too bulky and comes unfolded too easily while still supposedly restrained by the red cloth. Also, the distance from the sill to the top step of the ladder was an issue for my 6-year-old.

  • Not as sturdy as I had hoped

  • I bought this fire ladder because we live in a 3-story townhouse. When I took it out of the box, the ladder unfolded, and I had a terrible time putting it back together for storage. The red velcro strap that is supposed to hold the folded up ladder together is not strong enough and does not do the job. God forbid we ever need to use this...it will come undone before I can ever get it to the window. Overall, disappointed with the construction.

  • Have more peace of mind now

  • It is light enough to quickly throw over the window sill. Rests on side of house well. A bit difficult to fold back up after the practice try but doable.
